After the fantastic march on October 20th when 700,000 from across the country to demand a People's Vote on the final Brexit deal, the most important thing we can do now is write letters.
Real letters, on paper, about what leaving the EU means for you and why you want a People's Vote - it doesn't have to be long, or filled with details, just from the heart.
We've got the materials and ideas of who to write to. It's not just your MP (if you're worried they won't listen), also Ministers, local politicians and other key influencers such as local businesses.
We will have an area set up in Premier Inn set up with tea and coffee available. Take a break from shopping and come and join us.
Please RSVP if you can come - and if you'd like to help, please fill in this doodle poll (as well as RSVPing).
Can't make it? Here are Dr Mike Galsworthy of Scientists for EU's top tips on what to include in your personal letter (see his video at about 4 mins 10 secs):
- What worries you most about what's happening with Brexit
- How would YOU like this country to be (switch to the positive) - if you were Prime Minister how would you change things locally and in terms of how we would work nationally and internationally
- What story in your life best illustrates why you are worried about Brexit / or are pro-European. And finish off by calling for a People's Vote.
You could even take his suggestion and invite a few friends round to your house to do this together.
If you want a template letter, here are some to give you some ideas - Write this Wrong, our own template letter based on the Herts Brexit Impact Study, our People's Vote template letters A and B. But remember, a personal, handwritten letter is best.
