The result of referendum on the United Kingdom’s EU membership has created uncertainty in the lives of EU citizens living in the UK. Many have been asking questions about the application of EU law and what their EU rights are now and what they are going to be in the future.
In order to support EU citizens living in our community, St Albans for Europe has organised an information session, so that EU citizens living locally can get the information they need.
The speaker is Matthew Davies, Head of Immigration at Wilson Solicitors - he is one of the solicitors contracted by the European Commission Representation in the UK to attend events such as these, to help raise knowledge and awareness among EU citizens of their rights.
The following areas will be covered in the information session:
- how to apply for permanent residence and British citizenship
- how it is envisaged the new “settled status” will work in the future.
There will then be a question and answer session from the audience.
Tickets are free and can be obtained by RSVPing this event.
